I don’t even remember the last time I had a RC Cola. I feel like if I actually sit down and math out how long it’s been I’ll date myself, and I don’t know if I want to end up on that fossil record.

Growing up I drank a lot of Pepsi. I don’t know at what point my love for Pepsi turned to sickening disgust, but at some point I switched over and joined the Coca Cola band wagon. I heard somewhere once that Pepsi is subtly sweeter than Coke, so the more sips you take the more cumulative that effect until it’s flavor profile just tilts too far off course. That might be an urban legend, I don’t have a reference to a scientific study on comparative cola flavors so don’t quote me on that.

These days, I try to augment my sugar water intake with La Croix. It’s definitely an…acquired taste, and I don’t dispute the claims that drinking one is the unfulfilled promise of flavor. Still, if it reduces my chances of getting adult onset diabetes I suppose it’s a net win.
