The weather confirms that it’s definitely summer! Fun in the sun, barbecuing, family vacations! Where does the time fly, it feels like the year just started. I’m planning a trip back to visit my parents, and I’m looking forward to walking the Pacific Northwest beaches during summer again. Growing up I used to collect all sorts of beach treasures – polished glass, seashells, rare human artifacts (garbage), and the most prized find of all, beach agates. They were the most rare find, but they had the most satisfying texture and appearance. At sunrise or sunset, you could walk the beach and catch them glinting on the sandy sprawl. I don’t expect to find any when we go back, but it’ll be fun to look and pass on that childhood experience.
